a dreamy date at Greystone Mansion
Greystone Mansion, Beverly Hills California
Recently, I’ve been completely obsessed with that old Hollywood romance movie look — the kind of warmth and moodiness that feels like stepping straight into a vintage film reel. I’ve been leaning into deeper tones, subtle grain, and a mix of black-and-white frames with slightly blurry, movement-filled shots to bring out that imperfect, dreamy, filmic charm. There’s just something special about letting the images breathe on their own, almost like they’re whispering stories from another era.

Engagement Session at Greystone Mansion
Greystone Mansion is one of those rare venues that naturally wraps you in that exact feeling. The grand staircases, the rich stone textures, the soft pockets of light — everything about it just oozes timeless romance. Every time I shoot there, it feels like I’ve stumbled onto the set of an old 1980s Hollywood love story. The architecture, the shadows, the mood… it all comes together so effortlessly, letting the couple fall right into that vintage cinematic world without even trying.
This editing style definitely leans a little away from my usual clean, true-to-life look — and honestly, that’s what makes it so fun. For this session, I played around with actual film, slower shutter speeds to let a bit of intentional blur creep in, and warmer, darker tones to wrap everything in that nostalgic glow. There’s a certain freedom in embracing those imperfections… letting the images feel raw, emotional, and lived-in. It’s a creative shift I’ve been loving, and Greystone was the perfect place to push that vision even further.
