A Timeless Wedding Day

A timeless wedding day at Timeless Venues. I've been SO obsessed with this warm and moody look lately!! I usually shoot with flash, but I've been experimenting with off-camera constant lights and I'm loving the results. It blended perfectly with the warm, moody vibe of J & R's reception room, and I honestly couldn't be happier with how these came out.

J & R were married on September 19, 2026, with a ceremony at St. Denis Catholic Church in Diamond Bar and a reception at Timeless Venues in Fountain Valley. The day moved from bright, sunlit portraits to an evening of candlelight, chandeliers and a first dance wrapped in fog.

Chapter One

The Ceremony

St. Denis Catholic Church, Diamond Bar

A Ceremony at St. Denis Catholic Church in Diamond Bar

J & R exchanged vows on September 19, 2026, at St. Denis Catholic Church in Diamond Bar, where the bride's long cathedral veil traced the altar steps.

I kept the frames inside the church soft and simple, letting the architecture, the gown and the veil carry each image.

Chapter Two

Cerritos Sculpture Garden

Parasols, portraits and afternoon light

White Parasols and the Bridal Party

At Cerritos Sculpture Garden, the bridesmaids gathered around the bride with white parasols, and the afternoon slowed to an easy, playful pace.

The parasols softened the sun and turned each group frame into something light and editorial, with an almost film-like warmth I keep coming back to.

Portraits

Daytime Portraits of J & R

Then J & R took a little time in the garden for just the two of them. A twirl of the gown, a quiet embrace, a few frames where they forgot I was there.

These are the images that feel the most like them, unhurried and full of warmth.

Unhurried and full of warmth.

Chapter Three

The Reception

Candles, chandeliers and draping at Timeless Venues

A Reception Room of Candles, Chandeliers and Draping

In the evening, the celebration moved to Timeless Venues in Fountain Valley. The reception room was layered with candles, crystal chandeliers and soft draping around a sweetheart stage, all designed by Events by Jenny K.

Every surface caught the glow of candlelight, which made it a dream for the warm, moody look I wanted.

Tradition

A Lion Dance for J & R

At the reception, a lion dance swept through the room with drums, color and wishes for good fortune. J & R wore red for the occasion, and against the candlelight it became one of my favorite contrasts of the day.

Moments like this are why I love documenting cultural traditions as a wedding photographer in Orange County. They carry so much meaning, and they unfold in their own time.

Behind the Lens

Warm, Moody Wedding Photography with Off-Camera Constant Lights

I usually shoot receptions with flash, but for J & R I set up off-camera constant lights instead. The light wraps more gently, it holds the warmth of the candles, and the shadows fall exactly where I want them.

The result is the warm, moody wedding photography I have been chasing lately, and it suited this room perfectly.

I usually shoot with flash, but I've been experimenting with off-camera constant lights and I'm loving the results.

The First Dance

A Fog-Filled First Dance at Timeless Venues Fountain Valley

Then came the first dance. Fog rolled across the floor beneath the crystal chandelier, and J & R moved through it as if no one else were in the room.

The rest of the night belonged to their family and friends, from the grand entrance and cake cutting to a dance floor that never emptied.

As if no one else were in the room.

With Gratitude

Thank You, J & R

Thank you, J & R, for trusting me with your wedding day and for letting me experiment with light along the way. It was a privilege to tell your story.

If you are planning a wedding at Timeless Venues Fountain Valley, or anywhere in Orange County and Los Angeles, and looking for a wedding photographer and videographer, I would love to hear from you.
